sciFLEXARRAYER S100
Modular Inline Manufacturing, Engineered to run 24/7.
The sciFLEXARRAYER S100 is our fully customizable, integration-ready platform for ultra-high-throughput manufacturing. Configure up to twelve channels, and combine S100 units to inline stations and custom fixtures; connect vision, robotics, or conveyors. The S100 uses the same dispensing technologies (PICO/NANO) and vision-based drop control as the rest of the family, but in a cabinetized architecture designed for continuous operation, rapid serviceability and validation. When your roadmap calls for scaling to true production lines, S100 turns precision microdispensing into a robust, automated process.

Benefits
The S100 is engineered for continuous operation in demanding industrial environments. It supports ultra-high throughput production with unattended 24/7 performance, making it ideal for large-scale manufacturing of microarrays, diagnostic components, and biosensor substrates, all while delivering the precision expected from sciFLEXARRAYER systems.
Designed for customization, the S100 offers a modular platform that can be tailored to your production line. From hardware extensions to software interfaces, it supports seamless integration into automated workflows, including robotics, handling units, and upstream/downstream processes.
The S100 is delivered as part of a collaborative partnership, not just a product. Our experts work with your team to define specifications, optimize dispensing parameters, integrate your workflow and adapt the system to your exact needs, ensuring maximum process efficiency and long-term value in regulated environments.
The S100 is a high-throughput evolution of the same core technology found in the S3, S12, and SX systems. Built on a shared core platform, it allows customers to scale seamlessly from R&D to industrial production. Explore the full range here.

The Challenge
Scaling Precision.
Joanneum Research, a leading applied research centre, required precise and scalable microarray printing in flat-bottom microtiter plates for multiplexed diagnostics. The solution: a modular SCIENION S100 Swing Portal System: S100 units shuttled by conveyor and integrated with a full suite of instruments for fully automated in-plate array manufacturing.
The Solution
Automation in Motion.
A robotic arm fetches and places barcoded plates from climate-controlled stacks.
Camera-guided fiducial recognition aligns plates for micro-scale dispensing accuracy.
Six simultaneous dispensing channels print complex microarray patterns in each well.
Inline QC verifies every droplet’s size and position to ensure manufacturing precision.
Plates are incubated, then shuttled back for additional printing cycles, all without manual intervention.
The Outcome
Consistency at Scale.
Joanneum Research now produces multiplexed microarrays with complete automation, traceable precision, and scalable throughput, meeting the highest standards of reproducibility and process control in IVD manufacturing.
