SCIENION AG today announced the appointment of Dr. Guenter Bauer as Chief Business Officer to SCIENION’s management. The focus of his responsibilities will be sales and marketing. Scienion AG and Matrical bioscience recently announced the launch of the sciSWIFTER™, a new dispensing device developed for high precision dispensing in 96, 384, and 1536 microplates. The sciSWIFTER will be jointly commercialized by Scienion AG and Matrical Bioscience, both leading suppliers in the life science market.

With its sciFLEXARRAYER S3 Scienion AG has launched another model of its prize winning dispensing systems for ultra-low volume liquid handling. The piezo-driven system for non-contact dispensing was particularly developed as an economical entry for academic and R&D labs.

Scienion AG has closed a financing round totaling more than 4.5 million Euro. The cash inflow enables the development of new technologies and thus the further expansion of the company. In order to develop these new technologies Scienion will establish a second development and production site in Dortmund and will move into new facilities in the BioMedizinZentrum Dortmund.
